Finally, Nothing Phone (1) has officially launched after all the hype. The launch event was in London, England, and was live-streamed online. The smartphone has gained a lot of buzz in the tech world especially because of its unique design approach. The device comes with a transparent back, a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, and many more unique and interesting features. Today in this article, we will be having a closer look at Nothing Phone 1 including its specifications, features, and the also expected price of Nothing Phone 1 in Nepal.
Nothing Phone 1 Overview
Design & Display
Starting with the display, The Nothing Phone 1 flaunts 6.55” FHD+ OLED flat panel with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The display has support for a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz of touch sampling rate. Also, This is a 10Bit HDR10+ certified display and the display also packs an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. Similarly, It has protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and and the display has a 1200 nits of peak brightness.

Talking about it's design, Nothing Phone 1 has a transparent panel like the Nothing Ear 1 launched back in 2021. There has a wireless charging coil on the center of the back panel while there is Noting branding at the bottom left corner. Likewise, it is 8.3mm thick and has a weight of 193.5g.
While receiving notifications or while your phone is charging, you get a variety of LED lights on the back panel. Its rear panel is made of glass and its frame is made of aluminum. The surrounding bezels are the same size. Moreover, it comes with IP53 splash and dust resistance rating.

Camera
As for the optics, The Nothing Phone 1 features a dual-camera setup at the back. The main primary camera includes a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and support for OIS and EIS dual stabilization. It is accompanied by a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 114-degree field of view.

At the front, there has a 16MP f/2.4 Sony IMX 471 selfie snapper inside the punch hole. From the rear camera, you will be able to record up to 4k videos and from the front camera, you can go up to 1080p videos.
Performance & Storage
Moving on, Nothing Phone 1 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It’s an Octa-core based 6nm chipset CPU with 1×2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 & 3×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores. Likewise, As for graphics, it has Adreno 642L GPU that's handles all heavy graphics work.
As for memory, The device comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Furthermore, it boosts Android 12 out of the box with Nothing OS on top. Moreover, Nothing has promised 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security patches every 2 months.
Battery & Connectivity
The Nothing Phone 1 has pack a 4500mAh battery. It supports 33W fast wired charging alongside 15W wireless charging. It also features 5W reverse wireless charging. But Nothing has not included the compatible charger inside the box. The phone will be available in White and Black color variants.
For Connectivity, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Bluetooth 5.2, A2DP, LE, GPS Yes, with A-GPS. The base 8/128GB version of the Nothing phone (1) has a price tag of EUR 469 or INR 32,999. We expect the price of Nothing Phone (1) to start at NPR 58,000 when it launches in Nepal.
